The Ozarks Medical Center Medical Library is committed to providing authoritative, up-to-date, health-related information and resources. These resources are available to OMC patients, patients’ families, members of the general public, physicians and medical center staff.
The OMC Medical Library provides knowledge-based information in the form of medical journals, textbooks, videos and Internet-based research. The are no charges of the use of these services unless special materials are ordered, not maintained in the medical library. Videos: Videos are available to be checked out of the library on a two-week basis. Borrowers are financially responsible for any damage or loss of the video(s) borrowed.
Medical Journals: While medical journals may not be removed from the library, they are available for study and review. Certain articles may be photocopied as long as it is in compliance with the copyright law of the United States (Title 17, U.S. Code).
Textbooks: The OMC Medical Library maintains a wide variety of textbooks available on various topics. Textbooks may be checked out for a period of two weeks. Borrowers are financially responsible for any damage or loss of the book(s) borrowed.
Internet research: The medical library offers health-based Internet research for most health care issues. These services are provided at no charge. Information researched can be a single medical topic or diagnosis or may include a specific cited journal article related to a health care issue.
