OMC supports youth with cash awards at livestock auction

Ozarks Medical Center recently supported local youth at the Heart of the Ozarks Fair Livestock Auction by recognizing Supreme Champion and Reserve Champion winners.

OMC awarded $250 to each of the four Supreme Champions and $100 to each of the four Reserve Champions.

“These young people have worked hard for many months to raise prize-winning livestock and OMC is proud to have the opportunity to recognize their efforts,” said Tom Keller, OMC President and CEO. “Agriculture is a leading economic driver for our region. Events such as the Livestock Auction teach our youth responsibility, prepare them for future employment opportunities and encourage the growth of the local agriculture industry.”

Award winners were: Clayton Leroy, Supreme Champion Hog; Grant Talburt, Reserve Champion Hog; Paige King, Supreme Champion Goat; Kiley Staley, Reserve Champion Goat; Cailey Beavers, Supreme Champion Steer; Ellie Walker, Reserve Champion Steer; Tate Dudgeon, Supreme Champion Lamb; and Clint Hinds, Reserve Champion Lamb.

The market steer, goat, swine and lamb auction was held Tuesday, July 14 at the Heart of the Ozarks Fair Ground.
