OMC Outpatient Surgery, GI Lab, and Dr. Magdy Giurgius Adopt a Class
Ozarks Medical Center (OMC) Outpatient Surgery Department, GI Lab, and
Dr. Magdy Giurgius adopted a class at Ozark Action’s Head Start.
The group raised $855 to buy gifts for all 21 children in the class. Twenty-one
pairs of shoes were purchased from Shoe Sensation in West Plains. Shoe
Sensation gave a 15% discount on the purchase.
“A huge thanks to all that participated in the shoe project. Even
though we couldn’t do the entire school, we sure provided a lot
for one classroom. There will be 21 very happy children,” said Chasidy
Ginnever, RN, OPS/GI Lab Manager. “If you are ever in Shoe Sensation,
be sure to thank Greg. We also need to thank the American Legion and VFW
for their donation. You guys are AWESOME!”
Each child will receive: A new pair of shoes, a package of socks, hat and
gloves, toothbrush and toothpaste, a puzzle, a dinosaur bag, fruit snacks,
jumbo sucker, a Barbie for Girls and cars for boys, and a board game.
