OMC supports youth with cash awards at livestock auction

Ozarks Medical Center (OMC) recently supported local youth at the Heart of the Ozarks Fair Livestock Auction by recognizing Supreme Champion and Reserve Champion winners.

OMC awarded $200 to each of the four Supreme Champions and $100 to each of the six Reserve Champions.

“These young people have worked hard for many months to raise prize-winning livestock and OMC is proud to have the opportunity to recognize their efforts,” said Tom Keller, OMC President and CEO. “Agriculture is a leading economic driver for our region. Events such as the Livestock Auction teach our youth responsibility, prepare them for future employment opportunities and encourage the growth of the local agriculture industry.”

Award winners were: Ellie Walker, Supreme Champion Market Steer; Cody Jedlicka, Reserve Champion Market Steer; Brylon Mayberry, Supreme Champion Market Hog; Evan Smith, Reserve Champion Market Hog; Riley Collins, Supreme Champion Market Lamb; Kaitlin Hambelton, Reserve Champion Market Lamb; Melody Kirkland, Supreme Champion Market Goat; and Kiley Staley, Reserve Champion Market Goat.

The market steer, goat, swine and lamb auction was held Tuesday, July 19 at the Heart of the Ozarks Fair Ground.
