Nurse Practitioner Lynsey Sullivan Joins OMC Wound Care Services
Lynsey Sullivan, FNP-C, recently joined Ozarks Medical Center (OMC) Wound
Care Services. OMC Wound Care provides specialized treatment for chronic
or non-healing wounds, which are defined as sores or wounds that have
not significantly improved from conventional treatments. Associated with
diabetes, inadequate circulation, poorly functioning veins, and immobility,
non-healing wounds lead to lower quality of life and may lead to amputations.
Sullivan looks forward to “focusing care” after working in
OMC Emergency Department for the past seven years. “[In the ED]
we saw everything,” she said. She’s also happy to “working
with patients throughout their treatment.”
Sullivan earned her Master of Science in Nursing from Maryville University
in St. Louis. She completed her Bachelor of Science in Nursing at Kaplan
University in Des Moines, Iowa, and her Associate of Nursing Science degree
at Missouri State University-West Plains.
Prior to working for OMC’s Wound Care Services, Sullivan worked for
seven years in OMC’s Emergency Department and, concurrently, for
one year in OMC’s Catheterization Lab.
“We are very excited to see Ms. Sullivan transfer her skills to wound
care,” said OMC President and CEO Thomas Keller. “She’s
been a tremendous asset to the OMC community. Her compassion for local
community members makes her an excellent care giver.”
Sullivan looks forward to being on a normal schedule where she can spend
evenings at home with her family. She has a one-year-old son named Larsen
and is married to Cameron Sullivan.
Sullivan joins Dr. Antony Joseph, Dr. William McGee, Dr. Magdy Giurgius,
Dr. Alex Makarian, and Dr. Sonia Gerlick, at Wound Care Services, located
at 1665 Gibson Street in West Plains. For more information, call 417-257-5946.
