OMC Alton to honor Nurse Treda Traw’s 30 years of service on December 14
ALTON, Mo – After 30 years with Ozarks Medical Center (OMC) Treda
Traw, LPN, is set to retire Dec. 14. During her time with OMC, she worked
at OMC Thayer and OMC Alton clinics, and previously at the OMC Main Campus.
Alton Nurse Practitioner Glennette Haney calls Treda her right-hand when
it comes to triaging patients. “Treda is the ‘Mary Poppins’
of this century – she is firm but with just enough sugar to make
the patients and staff want to do what she is asking,” states Haney,
“She is what a good nurse looks and acts like, at all times, in
In 2016, Ms. Traw was awarded the OMC Pillar Award for Quality. The recipient
of this award has achieved the highest standards of quality in the performance
of their duties with a focus on safety. This standard of quality applies
equally to their interactions with patients, guests and co-workers. They
follow policies/procedures and always try to do the right thing.
A farewell reception will be held from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. on Friday, Dec.
14 at OMC Alton Family clinic, 100 Medical Drive. All friends, coworkers
and well-wishers are welcome to attend.
