OMC Alton to honor Nurse Treda Traw’s 30 years of service on December 14

ALTON, Mo – After 30 years with Ozarks Medical Center (OMC) Treda Traw, LPN, is set to retire Dec. 14. During her time with OMC, she worked at OMC Thayer and OMC Alton clinics, and previously at the OMC Main Campus.

Alton Nurse Practitioner Glennette Haney calls Treda her right-hand when it comes to triaging patients. “Treda is the ‘Mary Poppins’ of this century – she is firm but with just enough sugar to make the patients and staff want to do what she is asking,” states Haney, “She is what a good nurse looks and acts like, at all times, in all situations.”

In 2016, Ms. Traw was awarded the OMC Pillar Award for Quality. The recipient of this award has achieved the highest standards of quality in the performance of their duties with a focus on safety. This standard of quality applies equally to their interactions with patients, guests and co-workers. They follow policies/procedures and always try to do the right thing.

A farewell reception will be held from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 14 at OMC Alton Family clinic, 100 Medical Drive. All friends, coworkers and well-wishers are welcome to attend.
