OMC Pediatrics Sponsors Holiday Decoration for Downtown West Plains

WEST PLAINS, Mo - Ozarks Medical Center (OMC) Pediatrics recently sponsored a Joy light display for the holiday season. The light display was on the court house lawn in historic downtown West Plains at the first Downtown in December festival on December 15.

“Ozarks Medical Center Pediatrics really stepped up to the plate this year with an amazing light display on the southwest corner of the courthouse lawn. West Plains Downtown Revitalization's annual Christmas program certainly benefited from the display and the event wouldn't have been the same without it,” said Jeremy Nicholas, President of the West Plains Downtown Revitalization Board, “On behalf of the WPDR, I thank OMC for taking a personal interest in their community and doing their part to see to it that members of our community had a successful ‘Downtown in December’ event.”

The West Plains Downtown Revitalization committee hosted this event that included the 7th Annual Lighting of the Tree and many activities for the whole family, including a visit from Santa Claus, caroling by local choirs, and train rides around the square.

“Without the West Plains community, there would be no Ozarks Medical Center Pediatrics,” Asish Risal, MD, said, “The Downtown in December looked wonderful. We are happy to bring the message of JOY and help the Downtown Revitalization make it a success. We hope all of the kids in our community enjoyed the light display.”
