Orthopedist Edwin Roeder Joins Ozarks Medical Center

Edwin Roeder, MD, Board Certified Orthopedic Surgeon, recently joined Ozarks Medical Center (OMC) Orthopedics. Dr. Roeder provides treatment for musculoskeletal conditions through surgical and non-surgical means.

Dr. Roeder relocated to the area with his family after 21 years of practice in Springfield, MO, where he was voted a Top Doc from 2008-2013, as named by 417 Magazine. Since 2008, Dr. Roeder was voted the top orthopedist at Ozarks Community Hospital.

Prior to practicing in Springfield, he completed a residency program at Texas A&M University in College Station, TX, with an emphasis on sports medicine and reconstructive surgery. Dr. Roeder earned his Medical Degree from Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, TX. He completed his undergraduate studies in Biological Sciences at Stanford University in Stanford, CA.

His wife, Kristin, and two daughters, Elise and Elaine, are looking forward to getting involved in the community. “We were looking for a smaller, family friendly community,” Dr. Roeder said. “I wanted to have the opportunity to practice general orthopedics and get to know my patients.” Dr. Roeder enjoys the outdoors and especially the beautiful rivers of the Ozarks, where he and his family plan to fish.

“We are so pleased to welcome Dr. Roeder to OMC,” said OMC President and CEO Tom Keller. “He brings a great wealth of experience. His dedication to both his profession and his patients will be an asset to OMC.”

Dr. Roeder joins orthopedic surgeons Dr. Susan Jolly and Dr. James Rushford at OMC Orthopedics. OMC Orthopedics is located at 1210 N. Kentucky Avenue in West Plains. For more information, call 417-256-1745.
