David True, DO, joins OMC Rheumatology
David True, DO, Board Certified Rheumatologist, recently joined Ozarks
Medical Center (OMC) Rheumatology. Dr. True provides diagnosis (detection)
and treatment of musculoskeletal disease and systemic autoimmune conditions
commonly referred to as rheumatic diseases. These diseases can affect
the joints, muscles, and bones causing pain, swelling, stiffness and deformity.

He will travel from Springfield to see patients on Tuesdays, at OMC Rheumatology,
2900 Independence Square, West Plains. He and his family have lived in
the Springfield area since 2010, relocating to the Ozarks because of its
family friendly community and proximity for travel. He resides there with
his wife and daughter. They enjoy attending their daughter’s volleyball
games and horseback competitions.
Dr. True is looking forward to practicing in West Plains as he strives
to serve our communities through his specialty. He is board certified
in both rheumatology and internal medicine. Prior to practicing in the
Ozarks, Dr. True completed a residency program at San Antonio Uniformed
Services Health Education Consortium, Lackland AFB, Texas.Dr. True earned his Medical Degree from University of North Texas Health
Science Center Texas, Fort Worth. He completed his undergraduate studies
in Biological Sciences at University of Texas at El Paso.
Dr. True also brings a wealth of research experience to the practice. He
currently also serves as Medical Director for Clinvest Research in Springfield.
Clinvest is a locally owned, research company that participates in clinical
trials studying drugs that can help people feel better. They have a long
history of involvement in migraine and other headache trials and also
actively study drugs for the treatment of several different types of arthritis.
