Ozarks Medical Center Clinic Spotlight: Gainesville Family Medicine
Gainesville, Mo-- Ozarks Medical Center (OMC) Gainesville Family Medicine
is one of nine OMC family medicine clinics. OMC Gainesville offers a multitude
of services provided by Edward Henegar, DO, and Trisha Vigna, APN.
Dr. Edward Henegar is a board certified primary care provider with a specialty
in geriatrics. Dr. Henegar, who practiced medicine in Ozark County for
more than 40 years before quietly leaving the OMC Gainesville Medical
Clinic two years ago in what he said was a step toward retirement, is
again seeing patients at Ozarks Medical Center’s Gainesville clinic.
Dr. Henegar can see patients of all ages for their primary care needs.
He graduated from A.T. Still University Health Sciences/Kirksville College
of Osteopathic Medicine in 1973 and specializes in geriatric medicine
and family practice.
OMC was very excited and fortunate to have Trisha Vigna join the OMC team
in November 2018. She is a native of Mountain Home, Ark. She earned her
Associate of Science in Nursing at North Arkansas College. Trisha spent
four years at Arkansas Children’s Hospital where she provided care
and support to pediatric patients from birth to age 21. She also spent
time as a school nurse at Mountain Home Junior High and High School and
was a home health nurse at North Arkansas Home Care.
While pursuing her Masters, Trisha was a Registered Nurse at Baxter Regional
Medical Center Emergency Room for nine years, where she cared to patients
of all ages. She became a Nurse Practitioner at Fairlamb Senior Health
Clinic in 2016 where she specialized in geriatric care. Her move to OMC
Gainesville Family Medicine gives her the opportunity to focus more on
pediatrics while still providing services for women’s health and
geriatrics.
Along with family medicine, pediatrics, geriatrics, and women’s health,
OMC Gainesville also includes services for lab and x-ray, rehabilitation
services (physical therapy, occupational therapy, and speech-language
pathology), and mental health services.
OMC Gainesville is also the workplace to one of the longest tenured OMC
employees, Lauri Miller. Laurie has been with OMC for 30 years and is
a chronic care management LPN for the clinic.
Chronic care management is a wonderful addition to the services offered
within the OMC Gainesville clinic and encompasses the oversight and education
activities to help patients with chronic diseases and health conditions
such as diabetes, high blood pressure, heart disease, COPD and sleep apnea.
This service focuses on helping the patient learn about their chronic
illnesses, how to adapt their lifestyle to manage these diseases and improves
the coordination of care for these individuals.
Jonathan Dillinger, Physical Therapy Assistant who has been with OMC over
2 years is full time clinician at the OMC Gainesville clinic. Jonathan
provides treatment with an emphasis on manual therapy. Jonathan is LSVT-BIG
certified, which is an Intensive Parkinson’s treatment program providing
treatment four times a week for four weeks. The program is successful
in the increase in functionality for Parkinson’s patients.

conditions including pelvic pain, sexual dysfunction, and bowel or bladder
dysfunction. She treats pelvic conditions for pediatrics age 6-adult.

facility animal that assists Nancy with patients of all types providing
a calming and reassuring addition to her therapy practice. The staff within
the Gainesville clinic say that Hakuna is wonderful to have around and
is a fun addition to the team!
