Ozarks Medical Center Clinic Spotlight: Mountain Grove Medical Complex Family Medicine

MOUNTAIN GROVE, Mo-- Ozarks Medical Center (OMC) Mountain Grove Medical Complex is one of nine OMC Family Medicine clinics. OMC Mountain Grove offers a multitude of services provided by Sarah Williams, M.D.; Adam Mattison, A.P.N.; and Stephan Yost, P.A.

Dr. Sarah Williams is board certified in family practice and has been with OMC Mountain Grove since September 2018. She earned her medical degree from the University of Missouri, School of Medicine in Columbia. She completed her undergraduate studies in biology with a minor in chemistry at Missouri State University in Springfield.

Dr. Williams has a creative side behind her expertise in the medical field, with interests in charcoal drawing, crochet, sewing, scrapbooking, archery and fishing. A native of Houston, Dr. Williams relocated back to the Ozarks with her husband Tyler, and their two sons, and enjoys spending much of her free time pursuing the above mentioned activities with them.

Another local from Mountain View, Adam Mattison, APN, joined OMC Mountain Grove Medical Complex in November 2017 as a family nurse practitioner. He obtained his Master of Science in Nursing degree from the University of Central Missouri in Warrensburg and his undergraduate degree in nursing at Avila University in Kansas City.

Mattison missed the country life after many years spent in the Kansas City area. He enjoys the hunting and the simple life of the Ozarks as “the hustle and bustle of the city wears on you,” Mattison said. He still has family members that live in Mountain View.

The newest provider to OMC Mountain Grove is Stephan Yost, PA. He rejoined OMC in March 2019 after spending 17 years as a physician assistant in various other medical organizations throughout Missouri, Oklahoma, and Arkansas, including a year spent at OMC Gainesville from 2006-2007.

Yost earned his Master and Bachelor’s degrees in Physician Assistant studies after spending 20 years in law enforcement in Colorado. He transitioned to the medical field to focus on walk-in care, a service that he believes is critical to a community as he appreciates that walk-in services can be a resource to everyone.

Yost and his family enjoy the closeness of smaller communities and the chance to be involved along with being active in the Boy Scouts of America with both of his sons achieving Eagle Scout. They enjoy camping and kayaking as a family. One thing Yost looks forward to his having the opportunity to ride his motorcycle to the Mountain Grove clinic.

Jerica Cody, LPN, has been with OMC Mountain Grove for six months after graduating from South Central Career Center in West Plains. She grew up in Mansfield so is super familiar with the area. Her favorite thing about being a clinic LPN is the variety of cases she sees each day, along with building relationships with the different types of people she meets.

Laken Finch, LPN, will be celebrating her fourth year with OMC later this month. She attended Texas County Technical College in Houston. She grew up in Spokane, but is no stranger to the culture as she has been in the area for seven years. She loves her Mountain Grove coworkers and the opportunity to serve her patients and the community.

Jay Harris, OMC Mountain Grove Practice Manager, graduated from Nevada Regional Technical Center in Nevada, Missouri. He currently resides in Pleasant Hope, but grew up in Bolivar. He has been with OMC for three years and loves every minute of it because we are patient-focused and always put them first.

Angela Chronister, Clinic Supervisor, has been with the clinic for 20 years. She grew up in Raytown, but has been in Mountain Grove for 25 years. She currently serves as the VP of the Board of Directors for Mountain Grove Chamber of Commerce. She oversees day-to-day operations of the clinic and loves serving all patients and the community.
