Physician Assistant Stephan Yost Joins OMC Mountain Grove Walk-In Clinic

WEST PLAINS, Mo – Stephan Yost, PA, recently joined Ozarks Medical Center (OMC) Mountain Grove Walk-In Clinic. OMC’s Walk-In Clinics are committed to improving the quality of life for all the people in our region through accessible healthcare services.

OMC Mountain Grove Walk-In Clinic provides treatment for minor trauma and illnesses that require same day attention, but are not severe enough for a trip to the emergency room. This is helpful for times when a patient’s primary care office is closed or unavailable. Patients are seen on a walk-in basis with no appointment necessary, seven days a week.

Prior to coming to OMC, Yost worked as a Physician’s Assistant at the Jack C. Montgomery VA Medical Center in Muskogee, OK, for seven years. There he was assigned to the Acute Inpatient Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation Department. He also worked at the Northeaster Health Systems’ Urgent Care Clinic in Tahlequah, OK, for four years.

Yost earned his Master of Physician Assistant Studies from University of Nebraska, College of Medicine, Omaha, and his Bachelor of Science in Physician Assistant Studies from Union College, Lincoln, Neb.

Yost’s move to OMC Mountain Grove Walk-In Clinic gives him the opportunity to focus his practice on walk-in care, a service that he believes to be critical to the community. He appreciates that walk-in services can be a resource for everyone. Yost enjoys the variety of care that he is able to provide in this setting.

“We are very excited to see Mr. Yost join OMC Mountain Grove Walk-In Clinic,” said OMC Medical Group Vice President, Pam Ream. “He brings a wealth of experience and a well-rounded scope of practice to the clinic.”

Yost and his wife enjoy the closeness of a smaller community and the opportunity it presents to be involved. The Yosts and their sons have been very active in the Boy Scouts of America, with both boys achieving of Eagle Scout. They also enjoy camping and kayaking, and Yost is looking forward to riding his motorcycle to the clinic.

Yost joins Sarah Williams, MD, and Adam Mattison, APN, at OMC Mountain Grove located at 500 E. 19th St. OMC Mountain Grove Walk-In Clinic is open seven days a week, 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. For more information, call 417-926-6563.
