Medical Center Behavioral Healthcare is dedicated to delivering
efficient and effective mental healthcare services in the least
restrictive environment possible. We offer the most comprehensive
mental health services program in south central Missouri and north
central Arkansas.
At
OMC Behavioral Healthcare, our team-oriented clinicians include
psychiatrists, psychologists, social workers, nurse practitioners,
nurses and counselors. With offices in West Plains and Mountain
Grove, clients can receive services in the location that best
meets their needs.
OMC
Behavioral Healthcare was the recipient of the 2001 Missouri Department
of Mental Health Consumers Choice Award for children and youth
psychiatric services. State-funded mental health services are
provided through the Missouri Department of Health to customers
in a seven-county region which includes Howell, Shannon, Ozark,
Oregon, Texas, Douglas and Wright counties. If you would like

Services
Mental
health services for adults include:

for the individual, group or family aimed at helping individuals
restore and maintain health functioning |

healthcare professionals, the courts and community and
governmental agencies by evaluating a client's intellectual
and emotional functioning with standardized psychological

Psycho
Social Rehabilitation, a treatment designed to help chronically
mentally-ill individuals reach their maximum recovery |

Treatment
is provided on an outpatient basis or in the patient's home, based
upon each client's individual needs. There also is access to an
inpatient NeuroPsych Unit, located in Ozarks Medical Center, for
those individuals needing crisis stabilization in a safe, caring
environment. Community support workers are available to help those
who are chronically ill learn to live in an independent fashion.

OMC
Behavioral Healthcare's commitment to meeting the mental health
needs of the children in the community was recognized in 2001
when the organization was the recipient of the Missouri Department
of Mental Health Consumers Choice Award for children and youth
psychiatric services.
Kids
Care is OMC Behavioral Healthcare's children and youth services
program. Kids Care consists of well-trained professionals working
with children, their families and the community, to assist in
the process of healthy functioning. Services offered through Kids
Care include: targeted case management, psychotherapy (group,
individual and family), psychological testing, family assistance,
medication services and crisis stabilization services.

OMC
Behavioral Healthcare is proud of its ability to be available
24-hours a day in times of crisis. Families, clients and the community
at large are encouraged to use MOCARS (Missouri Crisis Access
Response System) by dialing 800/ 356-5395. There will be a counselor
to take your call, talk with you and, if necessary, identify the
best resources available to meet your individual needs and help
locate the best resource for each individual's situation.
Solutions
Employee Assistance Program
Solutions
is an employee assistance program that is offered to businesses
in the region. Through the program, business are able to provide
their employees and families with the confidential and professional
assistance they may need when dealing with some of life's challenges.
Those challenges may include problems dealing with stress management,
conflict in the workplace, grief recovery, depression, alcohol
or drug abuse or referral for help with legal or financial problems.
