WEST PLAINS —Ozarks Medical Center Rehabilitation Services, in conjunction with Ozark Radio Network (ORN), will host the annual ORN OMC Easter Egg Hunt Friday, April 10 at the West Plains Soccer Field, just past Dairy Queen going south on U.S. Highway 63.

Events and activities for all ages will be from 10 to 11 a.m. with the hunt kicking off at precisely 11 a.m. As part of the festivities, Cowboy Rick and his stagecoach will be on hand as well as a West Plains Fire Department truck, West Plains Police car and Air Evac Lifeteam helicopter. Activities also include balloon art and face painting. Parents are welcome to bring cameras to take photos of their children with the Easter Bunny.

This is the 12th year OMC has co-sponsored the event.

“This is a wonderful community event,” said Pam Ream, director of OMC Rehabilitation Services. “Hundreds and hundreds of families come each year. It is always a joy to watch children and their parents participate in positive, family-oriented activities such as the Easter Egg Hunt. Participating in the hunt has become a tradition for many families and we are thrilled to offer this opportunity to the community.”

OMC Rehabilitation Services works with children and adults by providing physical, occupational and speech therapy through the school systems, local clinics and home visits.

“This event gives ORN and OMC the opportunity to thank the communities that we serve,” said ORN General Manager Phyllis Papp.

ORN stations include KKDY 102.5, KSPQ 93.9, KUKU 100.3, KUPH (The Fox) 96.9 and KWPM 1450 AM and 1330 AM.

In addition to providing the Easter eggs, ORN disc jockeys also will broadcast live from the fairgrounds during the hunt.

The Easter Egg Hunt is divided into five divisions based on age for children ages one to 10. There will be a grand prize giveaway for one boy and one girl in each division. Every child who participates will receive a souvenir and a grand prize drawing ticket.
