Ozarks Medical Center clinics in Alton, Thayer, Mountain View and Mountain Grove will offer free athletic physicals for students who plan to participate in school sports in the upcoming year.
“We are proud to offer this service in support of our young athletes,” said Thayer Medical Clinic Supervisor Wanda Roark. “Offering physicals at several different clinics gives athletes options in case they are unable to attend one of the physical events.”
Athletic physicals are required for all students who plan to participate in any school-sponsored sport.
All students will be required to submit a signed consent form and current insurance information from a parent or legal guardian at the time of the physical.
Alton Medical Clinic
The Alton Medical Clinic will conduct free athletic physicals from 8 to 11 a.m. Friday, Aug. 7. The Alton Medical Clinic is located at 100 Medical Drive in Alton. For more information about this free physical event, call the clinic at 417-778-7227.
Thayer Medical Clinic
The Thayer Medical Clinic will conduct free athletic physicals from 1 to 4 p.m. Friday, Aug. 7. The Thayer Medical Clinic is located at 300 Warmfork Road in Thayer. For more information, call 417-264-7136.
Mountain Grove Medical Complex
The OMC Mountain Grove Medical Complex will offer free student athletic physicals by appointment during normal clinic hours. The Mountain Grove Medical Complex is located at 1604 North Main Street in Mountain Grove and is open from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday. McVicker Family Healthcare
McVicker Family Healthcare in Mountain View will conduct free athletic physicals during normal clinic hours, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Thursday and 8 a.m. to noon on Friday. McVicker Family Healthcare is located at 220 North Elm Street in Mountain View. For more information, call 417-934-CARE (2273).
West Plains
In addition to physicals at the OMC clinics, there will be a free athletic physical event from 5 to 7 p.m. July 30 at the OMC Shaw Medical Building in West Plains. For more information, call OMC Education Services at 417-257-5984.
