Data & Cancer Registry
A cancer registry department systematically collects data about cancer
and tumor diseases. The goal of hospital cancer registries is to accurately
track cancer data for improvement in planning and cancer care.
OMC employs a cancer registrar who records all cases of cancer at the medical
center. This data is reviewed at a tumor conference held every two weeks
at OMC and is then submitted to the State of Missouri Department of Health
