Memorial Contribution made to OMC’s Nurturing Hope Campaign
Laura Dalton, West Plains, has made a generous donation in memory of her
late husband to the Ozarks Medical Center’s Nurturing Hope: A Community
Cancer Project. A focused fundraiser has begun to raise funds to purchase
heated reclining chairs for cancer patients at OMC.
“It is an honor to support this project in memory of my husband,
John, who was treated at OMC’s Cancer Treatment Center,” Dalton said.
OMC Foundation Director Ward Franz commented, “I have known Laura
and her husband for a long time. This is a prime example of how giving
back to OMC allows for a brighter future for us all.”
In 2014, the OMC Cancer Treatment Center saw 398 newly diagnosed cancer
patients, starting them on the road to life saving care. OMC has already
invested $775,000 toward new technology this year, to offer the very best
in diagnostic and healing technology to patients in our community. This
fundraiser will give the community an opportunity to give back in honor
or memory of someone they know who has fought the battle with cancer.
