Meet Redman and Tyler Osborn at the 9th Annual OMC Foundation Blue Jean Ball

Tyler Osborn from Pomona will be on-hand with his Watusi Bull, Redman, Saturday, September 30 at the Ozarks Medical Center (OMC) Foundation’s Ninth Annual Blue Jean Ball. Blue Jean Ball attendees will have the opportunity to meet and take photos with Redman at the event.

Tyler is a 2017 graduate of Willow Springs High School and will be attending Missouri State University-West Plains this fall where he plans to major in Ag-Business. Tyler bought Redman about four years ago and began raising Watusis. He now has eight in his herd.

The Ankole-Watusi is a modern American breed of domestic cattle that derives from central Africa. It is characterized by very large horns. In 2016, the total number for the breed world-wide was thought to be approximately 1500 head, with about 80% of them in the United States.

Redman is very gentle and is lead rope trained.

The Blue Jean Ball raises funds for programs and services that support the delivery of local health care. An all-inclusive ticket includes filet mignon, bar-b-que pork tenderloin, and black bean burger dinner with all the fixin’s and beer, wine and sodas. Tickets are $50 until Friday, September 29 and may be purchased at the OMC Foundation at No. 12 Parkway Center. Tickets are $65 at the door, day of event.

Sponsorships, which include benefits of reserved seating in the “Sheriff’s Tent” and more also are available. Items for the Silent Auction are needed. Every year, a variety of items are donated from baked goods to trips are up for bid in the Silent Auction.
