Women With Heart Funds Purchase EKG Machines for OMC
Women with Heart hosted a fundraising luncheon in February at the First
Baptist Church South Campus. A total of $23,562 was raised from the event
to purchase EKG machines for Ozarks Medical Center Heart Care Services,
OMC Emergency Department, OMC Thayer Clinic, OMC Winona Clinic, and OMC
Urgent Care Clinic.
“The mission of Women With Heart is to educate and raise funds for
heart disease and treatment in our region,” according to Nancy Franz,
heart attack survivor and founding member. In 2012, Women With Heart was
formed as a 501(c)3 Giving Circle of Community Foundation of the Ozarks.
“So many of our lives have been touched personally by heart disease,
including mine,” said Franz.
Women With Heart will be holding a fundraising tea at the home of member
Kay Garrett. For more information about Women With Heart, contact the
