OMC to Offer Free Events and Education Dinner for Brain Awareness Month

In observance of Brain Awareness month in June, Ozarks Medical Center (OMC) is offering free health educational events about stroke and headache disorders.

Community outreach events focusing on stroke education are scheduled at area senior centers. These events are free and open to the public. No reservations are required. Quintin Aldophson, RN, OMC Stroke Coordinator, will speak on how to “spot a stroke” and what to do, the critical importance of time to treatment, and stroke prevention tips.

OMC will offer a free community education dinner Tuesday, June 26 from 6 to 7 p.m. at OMC Parkway Center. Dr. Clara Applegate, Neurologist at OMC Neurosciences Center will speak on how headache disorders. The dinner is free, but reservations are required and can be made by calling 417-257-6793.
