Psychiatrist Alan B. Korbett Joins OMC Behavioral Healthcare
Alan B. Korbett, D.C., D.O., recently joined Ozarks Medical Center (OMC)
Behavioral Healthcare (BHC). Behavioral Healthcare provides medication
management, psychotherapy (counseling), Healthcare Home, case management,
crisis services, and day treatment to the OMC BHC service area, which
includes the counties of Howell, Ozark, Texas, Shannon, Douglas, Wright,
and Oregon. Behavioral health services are delivered in West Plains, Mountain
Grove, Thayer, Mountain View, and Winona.
Dr. Korbett is relocating to the Ozarks after practicing in Atlanta for
twenty years. He’s looking forward to being a part of the growth
at OMC. “I was tired of Atlanta traffic,” he said. “I
wanted to open up horizons to see what else was available.”
Dr. Korbett earned his Doctor of Osteopathy from Des Moines University.
He also earned a Doctor of Chiropractic from the National University of
Health Sciences in Lombard, Illinois. His Bachelor of Science in Human
Biology is from National University of Health Sciences. He also has a
Bachelor of Science in Biology and a Bachelor of Science in Psychology
from Montclair State University in Upper Montclair, New Jersey.
Prior to working for OMC Behavioral Healthcare, Dr. Korbett worked for
twenty years in Snellville, Georgia, at Counseling & Psychiatry of
Gwinnett, LLC. He also has held academic appointments at the National
College of Chiropractic, where he was an assistant professor in the Department
of Clinical Diagnosis and also the Department of Biomechanics and Chiropractic Technic.

to our healthcare community.”
Dr. Korbett is relocating to the West Plains area with his wife, eighteen-year-old
son, and mother-in-law. He enjoys exercise activities and weight training
in his spare time, and his wife enjoys theology studies.
Dr. Korbett joins Dr. Aniefiok Agarin, Dr. Richard Lucas, Dr. Jesse Rhoads,
and APRNs Jenee Lieurance, Jana Brill, and Patricia Carson in West Plains,
and Pam Wheat, in Mountain Grove. OMC Behavioral Healthcare is located
