66 Motorcycles Participated in the 3rd Annual OMC Dice Run
Event raised over $6,000 for the new OMC Women’s Center
Ozarks Medical Center (OMC) held its Third Annual OMC Dice Run on June
8 with a total of 66 motorcycles and 12 cars participating. The fundraiser
raised over $6,000 which will be donated to the OMC Capital Campaign for
the new OMC Women’s Center.
The event was sponsored by Great Rivers Distributing, Mega Motorsports,
Ozark Electrical Solutions, West Plains Daily Quill, Outpost Motorsports,
Landmark Bank, Q94, Bartlett Moving Services, Hughes Towing, KHOM The
Train, US Cellular, Morlan-Shell Ford, and Toyota of West Plains.
The event kicked off at OMC Parkway Center in West Plains and included
Dice Roll Stops at OMC Alton, OMC Winona, Alley Spring Mill in Eminence,
Stop ‘n Spot in Summersville, Milo and Jack’s in Willow Springs,
and concluded at a Lot Party held at Great Rivers Distributing in Pomona,
featuring rock band Fender Bender.
Five dice were rolled at six stops during the event. The highest total
dice roll score award went to Sonny Bell of Mountain Grove with a score
of 128. Sonny won a Dice Run trophy and $100. The person who had the lowest
total dice roll score award went to Kim Wood of Mammoth Spring, Ark.,
with a roll of 83. She received a Dice Run trophy and $25.
John Elkins of Ozark won the award for the farthest traveled to participate.
He received a Dice Run trophy and $25. The oldest motorcycle rider went
to Julie Leatherwood, age 85, of West Plains. She received a Dice Run
trophy and $25.
Prizes for winners at the Dice Roll Stops were donated by Colton’s
Steakhouse of West Plains, Greater West Plains Chamber of Commerce, Mercenary
Leather, Xtreme Audio+, and TJ’s Hickory House.
Winners at the roll stops were Tom Wood with the highest roll of 29 at
OMC Alton. He won a $50 Chamber Bucks Gift Certificate. Donna Matera was
the lowest roll at OMC Winona with a 9. She won a $25 gift certificate
from Xtreme Audio+. Curtis Bankroft was the highest roll at Alley Spring
with a roll of 28. He won a $50 Gift Certificate to Colton’s Steakhouse.
Donna Matera was the lowest roll at Stop n’ Spot with a roll of
5. She won a $25 Gift Certificate from Mercenary Leather. Sheri Lawrence
was the winner of the highest roll at Milo and Jack’s with a 27.
She won a $50 Gift Certificate from Colton’s Steakhouse. Jeffery
Peace was the winner of the lowest roll at Great Rivers with a roll of
9. He won a $25 Gift Certificate from TJ’s.
“We were blessed with a beautiful cool day for riding our Ozarks
last Saturday and were thankful for those who came out to support this
event,” said Melissa Smith, Co-Chair of the event.
